At Millbrae Surgery our staff have specialised training to provide a comprehensive travel health service, including specific travel advice, vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis.
Some vaccinations take time to become effective and some schedules must be given over a period of days or sometimes weeks. Ideally you should make your appointment at least
8 weeks before you travel to protect yourself fully.
However, if you are traveling shortly you might still benefit from some vaccines, malaria prophylaxis and other information about how to protect yourself from illness and injury while traveling.
The free website “Fit for travel” will provide you with some general information on the countries you intend to visit and the vaccinations you may require
www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk
Please allow approximately 30 minutes for your first Travel Clinic consultation. Nurse Colleen will complete a travel risk assessment, give you advice on the recommended vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis and prepare a vaccination schedule tailored to your travel needs. You will also be provided with any additional travel information that you may require. Each vaccination is priced individually, in addition to the initial consultation fee and these are provided below.
